October 23, 2001 The California Coastal Conservancy, in partnership with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and California Department of Fish and Game, invite you to attend a public workshop for the Napa-Sonoma Marsh Restoration Project. We are preparing an Environmental Impact Report/Environmental Impact Statement (EIR/EIS) which involves analyzing options for the restoration of nearly 10,000 acres of wetlands and associated habitats within the former Cargill salt pond complex in the north San Pablo Bay. This workshop will provide you with an overview of agency roles, an update on the site conditions and habitat objectives, a summary of modeling efforts completed to date, a summary of the EIR/EIS process, and an opportunity for you to provide input on the key elements of the project.
